Senior Devops Engineer (SAP BTP)

Be in IT is a recruitment company, specialised in sourcing Specialists from the information technology world. Currently, for our client, we are looking for someone in the position: Senior Devops Engineer (SAP BTP). 

Audit log is a critical element of an organization’s risk management strategy. In SAP Business Technology Platform we have a central service that manages audit logs generated on the platform – collection, storage, retention management, protection & integrity, retrieval. We provide this service on all SAP BTP environments (Neo, Cloud Foundry) and infrastructure layers (AWS, GCP, Azure, AliCloud, SAP Converge Cloud).
The major qualities that the service need to guarantee on highest level are security and compliance requirements, and above 99.99% availability.
We look for an experienced DevOps person to help us with addressing some of the ongoing improvement tasks related to migration of components from Cloud foundry BOSH to Kubernetes of SAP Audit log service and support in further automation of internal processes and procedures.

• Support the migration of legacy platform components to Kubernetes-based environments.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, observability and operational excellence.
• Contribute to the team’s roadmap related to migration of components from Cloud foundry BOSH to Kubernetes of Audit log service including complying with security standards for the IaaS layer.
• Automation of operation procedures and team’s internal processes related to the release and overall lifecycle of the service.
• Analyze process gaps and suggest further service improvements.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and reduce manual intervention through scripting and tooling.
• Monitor platform health, performance and capacity, ensuring compliance with defined SLAs and SLOs.
• Collaborate closely with development, security and platform engineering teams to improve service delivery.

• At least 5 years of experience in software operations.
• Experience with cloud technologies and related processes
• Experience with at least two of the following IaaS providers AWS, GCP, Azure
• Knowledge in various scripting languages, system & server administration and mass system deployments (Cloud foundry or Kubernetes)
• Former experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (Cloud Foundry) is a plus
• Experience with Cloud foundry BOSH, Kafka, Dynatrace, Block Storage, Object Storage is considered a plus
• Ability to perform in-depth troubleshooting and log analyses to identify and solve complex issues
• Ability to quickly understand existing products and landscape setup
• Can work autonomously, pro-active working attitude, excellent team player
• Good level of English and Bulgarian.

• Long-term cooperation with compensation ranging from EUR 40 –50/H.
• A streamlined recruitment process consisting of two online technical interviews with hiring managers (each lasting up to one hour).
• Remote work with a requirement to visit the client's office in Sofia once per 6 months.
